HeartofScrum.org belongs to Scrum Training Institute LLC. The terms “Scrum Training Institute.” “we,” “us,” and “our” include Scrum Training Institute LLC and our affiliates.

Your privacy is critically important to us. At the Scrum Training Institute LLC, we believe that:

  • The personal information we ask you to provide and the personal information that we collect about you through the operation of our services is important and sensitive.

GOTO Conferences delivers conferences in Europe and the United States.

The information that the Scrum Training Institute LLC & GOTO Conferences, collects in its website is hosted on servers located in the United States (U.S.) and Europe. By using our website, you freely and expressly give the Scrum Training Institute LLC and GOTO Conferences your consent to export and store your information and data to the U.S. and Europe.

Advertising Features: We currently do not collect data in third parties (e.g., Google Analytics Remarketing, Facebook Pixel, DoubleClick cookies, Android’s Advertising ID, Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers), to record demographics and interests reports for remarketing, advertising, or advertising reporting.

Payment Gateway: At this moment we do not collect payments online, therefore no information is collected or stored regarding trainings. Regarding the House of Scrum conference, we allow online payment through Stripe.

User-ID is not enabled in our Google Analytics account. This means that we cannot associate your engagement data from different devices and multiple sessions, or see how you interact with our content over an extended period of time.

User and data event data retention are saved for 50 months and then automatically deleted on a monthly basis by Google Analytics.

5.2 Transfer Of Information To The U.S.

Scrum Training Institute LLC, is based in the United States. Information about you will be transferred to, and processed in, the U.S. The U.S. may have data protection laws that are different to the laws of your country and, in some cases, may not be as protective. We have taken appropriate safeguards to require that your information will remain protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

5.3 Security

We employ technical and organizational measures designed to appropriately protect your information that is under our control and that we process on your behalf from unauthorized access collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal, both during transmission and once we receive it. We store all information that you provide to us on our secure server. We train employees regarding our data privacy policies and procedures, and permit authorized employees to access information on a need to know basis, as required for their role. At heartofscrum.com we use encryption (Secure Sockets Layer – SSL) & security plugins designed to protect against intruders and test for network vulnerabilities. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure.

We use commercially reasonable efforts to protect your personal information and have implemented technical and organizational measures in line with industry best practices. We cannot guarantee these controls will provide absolute security.

In the event of a security breach we’ll:

  • Notify the appropriate supervisory authority no more than 72 hours after of becoming aware of a breach of users’ personal data, including the number of users whose data was exposed, the nature of the breach, and what actions are being taken to mitigate its effects.
  • Communicate this information to the impacted users, especially if the data breach exposed any of their unencrypted personal data.
  • Consider the needs of any law enforcement investigations before publicly announcing the breach.

At heartofscrum.com users are not allowed to create an account (register) on our website, therefore there’s no personal information stored in a user profile.

We retain certain information that we collect from you if you fill-out a contact form for the following reasons:

  • To ensure that we do not communicate with you if you have asked us not to;
  • To comply with applicable legal, tax or accounting requirements.

For legal, tax, or accounting audits, we may retain records (including customer information)  as long as needed to comply with our legal obligations.
